Surfing here can produce both lefts and rights, depending on the swell direction, which can come from the east or south. You can expect some powerful breaks that come in close to shore. The best times to hit the surf are during low, mid, or high tides, with the preferred wind direction being from the northwest. Do keep in mind that the sand bottom can change, affecting wave quality.

Access to the area may vary due to ongoing developments along the beachfront, so it's good to check locally for any updates. Also, there's a 300ft (100m) 'distance from pier' rule that’s enforced in the summer, so just be aware of your surroundings when you're out there surfing.
