Su Conventeddu is a left-hand reef break that peels medium to long, fast, and hollow over a shallow, uneven rock bottom. It sits in an area with several other waves and a surf shop nearby, and takes its name from the Restaurant "Su Conventeddu" just up the road.
When It Works
The reef pulls in swell from the east through south, and it really switches on during east and southeast swells, with southeast (SE) the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there's a decent window of sizes that will get it going.
Wind and Tide
Look for a west (W) offshore wind, though the wave still holds its shape in a moderate onshore. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The speed and hollow sections make this one best suited to intermediate surfers who are comfortable on a shallow reef.
Access
From Pula, follow the direction toward Nora to reach the break. There's a surf shop in the area (Quiksilver, 070 9245270) if you need anything before or after your session.
