When It Works
The wave pulls in swell from the south through southwest, and it lines up best on a southwest (SW) swell. It stays surfable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there's a decent working window once a solid south-southwest pulse arrives.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast (NE) offshore wind to clean up the face. It breaks on low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one is a good fit for intermediate surfers comfortable on a reef.
