Titiana is a powerful left-hand reef break that comes alive when it's on, peeling over live coral. It sits within easy reach of accommodation in Gizo, close enough to walk and paddle out to.
When It Works
Titiana draws swell from southwest through southeast, and it favours southeast (SE) swell, working best when the swell has a southeast lean. The wave is usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, and it holds a moderately consistent rhythm, so you can expect worthwhile windows without it turning on every day.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast (NE) offshore wind to clean up the face. The reef works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a good fit for intermediate surfers. The lineup tends to stay fairly quiet, so you'll usually have space to find your own waves.
