It’s generally suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers looking to ride longboards, fish, shortboards, or even bodyboards. Just remember, the surf is often inconsistent, so you’ll need some patience to score good sessions.

While you’re out there, be aware of some local hazards, like sea lice, which can be a nuisance. After-sunburn lotion with aloe can help ease that issue. The surf season is mainly storm-dependent, with tropical cyclones bringing in action in late summer and fall, while fronts can pick up in late fall through winter and spring.
