Tregualemu surf guide

Tregualemu is a surf spot located along the coast that offers a unique experience for surfers. It’s not the most consistent place, but when conditions align, it can provide some decent waves. The access to the beach is via a private track, so make sure to ask for permission or take a 1km walk down the beach from the north to get there.

This spot mostly handles swells from the southwest, but it can also work with south and west swells. It can handle wave sizes up to 4ft (1.2m) and even up to 15ft (5m) when the conditions are just right. The waves break left, offering fast walls that peel over a mix of rock ledge and sand. The ideal wind direction is southeast, and Tregualemu can work well during low, mid, and high tide. This is more of an expert spot, so make sure you know your stuff before paddling out.

When the sand is positioned just right, you’ll likely find fewer surfers in the water. This makes Tregualemu a great spot to enjoy some waves without dealing with big crowds. Keep in mind that while it might not be the most dependable spot, it can definitely surprise you on a good day.
