Treyarnon is a beachbreak that peels over a mix of uneven reef and sand, serving up both lefts and rights. The open beach is welcoming for beginners, while the sand-covered reefs give more advanced surfers something extra to work with.
When It Works
The break draws swell from southwest through northwest (SW-NW), with southwest (SW) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, giving you scope from small, playful days up to more serious swells. Consistency is moderate, so it won't be firing every day, but the windows are reliable enough when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for east (E) offshore wind to smooth out the faces. It breaks on low and mid tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly place to find your feet, and beginners are well catered for on the beach. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's working.
Access
You can park right by the beach in the car park, though parking is paid. There's camping close by and a surf shop on hand for anything you've forgotten.
