Overview
Viri-Inga-O-Tuki sits just beyond the oil terminal and is the less critical wave in the area, which makes it a good fit for longboards or thicker guns. Depending on swell size it can serve up more than a couple of peaks, with both lefts and rights that break on the full side while still carrying plenty of push.
When It Works
The waves form over an uneven reef and draw swell from east through south to southwest, with southeast swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and tends to be moderately consistent, so there are worthwhile windows when the setup lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean things up. The reef can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one leans toward intermediate surfers, and the lineup usually stays fairly quiet.
Access
Getting out to the peak is via the boat jetty.
