West Point is a fickle right-hand pointbreak just west of Fraserburgh. When it comes together it peels over an uneven reef and can offer long rides with hollow sections. Like most breaks along this stretch, the reef here is rocky and rippy.
When It Works
The point draws swell from northwest through north to east, with northeast the direction that lines it up best. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, so it needs a solid pulse before the walls start to fire.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south offshore wind to groom it. West Point comes into form around mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.

Park in Broadsea and use the roadside parking nearby.
