Overview
Badjang, also known as Jelly's Point, is a recently discovered right-hand reef that serves up high-quality waves in the mould of the reefs around Siargao. It peels right over dead coral.
When It Works
Badjang pulls in swell from north through northeast (N-NE) and comes alive on northeast (NE) swell, holding shape across a workable range from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. It breaks consistently, so there's a good chance of finding a wave when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean up the face. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave suits intermediate surfers, and you can expect a fairly quiet lineup when it's on.
Access
Getting out here is easy, with the reef sitting only 8 km from Lanuza.
