When It Works
The point draws swell from southwest through southeast, with south swell the best match. It comes to life in the bigger range, working from 1.8 m / 6 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, which is why it earns its reputation on solid days rather than small ones. Expect it to be moderately consistent, so the standout sessions come when the swell and conditions line up.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean up the rights. The point can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a wave for intermediate surfers and up, especially once it fills in with size. On small summer days there is plenty of open beachbreak nearby for beginners. Expect a fairly quiet lineup when it is on.
