Overview
Boobs (Victoria) is a reef break that throws off a peak with waves running both ways. The left is the standout here, a rare one that shows its best form when the wind stays out of it, and the rights are there too, though they never get as tubey as the lefts. The reef underneath is uneven and shallow, which shapes a lot of how and when you surf it.
When It Works
Swell arriving from southwest is the best match, and the spot picks up anything in the south to southwest window. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is the catch: it can be somewhat inconsistent, so it pays to watch for the days when the swell lines up rather than expecting it on demand.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind, especially if you want that left doing what it does best. Stick to mid and high tide, with a rising tide the better call. The reef is shallow enough that either side of low is worth avoiding.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers, largely because of what the shallow, uneven reef asks of you. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it turns on.
Access
There are car parks up on the cliffs with free parking, but you have not arrived once you have parked. It is a long walk around the cliffs to get down to the break, so plan for that before you commit.
