The surf at Brava is pretty variable. The optimal swell direction is from the south, but it can also pick up swells from the southeast and southwest. The waves tend to handle sizes around 2 feet (about 0.6 meters) and break over sand, with both left and right directions available. The best conditions usually come when there's a north wind, and the tides can be favorable at low, mid, or high levels. While it might not be an ideal spot for beginners, intermediate surfers will find a decent challenge here.

It's a good place to enjoy some waves without being crowded like at nearby Maresia. Just keep in mind that while the setting is beautiful, the waves can still pack a punch, so it's best for surfers who are comfortable with some more unpredictable surf.
