Camburi surf guide

Camburi is a popular surf spot located along the coastline, known for its consistent waves and vibrant beach-town vibe. The area attracts surfers of all levels, making it a great place to catch some waves while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere.

The surf here can be pretty good, especially with a major south swell. You can expect some solid lefts and rights depending on where you are. The waves break over a mix of uneven reef and sand, which keeps things interesting. Camburi can handle swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (0.6 meters) and works well on both low and mid tides, as well as high tide. If the wind is coming from the north, that's usually ideal. It's a spot that suits beginners, so don't worry if you're just getting the hang of things.

While Camburi is the most consistent wave in the region, it does attract crowds, especially on prime days. The peaks spread out a bit, helping you find space to surf. If it gets a bit too busy or if you want to explore, there are other surf spots nearby like Baleia, Barra do Sahy, Juquei to the west, and Boiçucanga to the east, where you can find different types of breaks and a bit more room to ride.
