Overview
Chinbotsu is the furthest break to the north, a right-hand reef that breaks over boulders in front of a shipwreck. The inside runs shallow, and it can hold some size when the swell fills in.
When It Works
Chinbotsu draws swell from northeast through southeast (NE-SE), with east (E) swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft and holds size toward the top of that range. Being consistent, it breaks often enough to be worth checking regularly.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind to clean it up. It breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide the better call, since deeper water covers the shallow boulders inside.
