Overview
Cobras is a swell-magnet left at the southern end of the island, breaking over live coral. On the right swell it lines up a long, superlative barrel, and it becomes a go-to spot when the swell is small elsewhere. Across the deep channel sits a separate right called Warrens, so don't confuse the two when you're picking your peak.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from south through west, with southwest (SW) the best direction for lining up that long left. It's usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, so there's a wide window of sizes to work with, and it holds up as a consistent option when you're looking for a reliable wave.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east (E) offshore wind to clean up the face. Cobras can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave suits intermediate surfers, and the lineup tends to stay fairly quiet, so you can usually find room without much of a scramble.
