Overview
Direita do Passe is a right-hand point that peels over boulders in front of the opening to the lagoon. It's the closest of the Santo Christo breaks to the car park, and the water stays clean: up at Cubres the lagoon is not open to the sea, so there's no pollution from the tidal lagoon.
When It Works
The point draws swell from northwest through north to east (NW-N-E), with northeast swell the best match — that's when the wave walls up nicely. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 6.1 m / 20 ft, and when it gets big, a couple of rocks on the point serve up short barrels. Most days it's a predictable, medium-pace peeler that makes for a fun ride.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest offshore wind. The point can work through the whole tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave loses some size on the inside, which makes that section a good place for beginners — just keep an eye on the currents.

Count on about a 40-minute walk from the car park in Cubres, where parking is free.
