Esterillos Oeste is a south-facing surf spot in Costa Rica with a long sandy beach that's popular among surfers of various skill levels. The area features some lava reefs offshore, but the main attraction is the consistency of the surf here. For the best conditions, a low to mid tide is ideal, and you’ll want to look for winds coming from the north.
