Overview
Faja do Belo is an overlooked and underrated left-hand point that breaks over boulders between the two larger fajas. It is a wave that demands commitment, with a challenging vertical drop into speed walls and big barrel sections.
When It Works
The point draws swell from west to north (W-N), with northwest (NW) swell the best match. It works from 1.5 m / 5 ft to 6.1 m / 20 ft, so it keeps breaking well into serious size.
Wind and Tide
Look for southwest (SW) wind, which blows offshore here. Strong southwest winds tend to turn south at this spot, leaving it a bit more protected than Santo Christo and Cubres. The wave can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an expert wave first, though confident, committed intermediates can also revel in the barrels, and the vibe in the lineup is easygoing. Getting through the rocks and paddling out is not difficult, but coming back in is much trickier. Keep an eye out for rocks and current, and jellyfish occasionally invade.

The spot is only a 20-minute walk from the Cubres car park, where parking is free.
