Frenzies is a right-hand reef break that peels over live coral, and it's the most exposed reef in the area when north swells arrive. It's a shallow, challenging wave that rewards a bit more water moving over the reef.
When It Works
It draws swell from northwest to northeast (NW-NE), with north (N) swell the best match. The wave is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, and while it picks up just about everything, it blows out far too easily. Conditions are moderately consistent, so look for the windows when the setup lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for south (S) offshore wind to clean it up. The reef comes to life on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-level right, best suited to surfers comfortable sitting over a shallow coral reef. The lineup stays quiet, so you won't be jostling for waves, but you're rarely truly alone out here, since sharks tend to congregate around the reef.
Access
Getting here is by boat only, which makes it a long trip for a solo session. Parking on shore is restricted.
