Gigaro is a scenic beachbreak dotted with a few rocks, breaking over sand with a below-average, slopey wave. It peels both left and right.
When It Works
The wave builds after strong south winds, so it tends to be inconsistent and is often flat. It draws swell from southwest through southeast, with southwest swell the best match, and is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. When a strong east windswell is running, nearby L'Escalet, Cavalaire-sur-Mer, or Le Lavandou can turn on with head-high, powerful waves, though you won't have them to yourself.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast offshore wind, which cleans it up and can make it quite good for a few hours; otherwise expect onshore slop. It works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Gigaro suits intermediate surfers. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it works, and heavy summer crowds when the surf itself is usually flat, so it is a spot to enjoy the scenery as much as the waves.

There is a car park with free parking, plus restrooms, showers, and a lifeguard.
