Jinluan Bay is a surf spot located about 6 kilometers east of Dongshan Town. This place features a 5-kilometer long crescent beach with several peaks that surfers can enjoy. At the center and northern corner of the beach, there are rivermouths that help shape the sandbars, making for some decent waves. While it might not be the best spot out there, it does cater to different types of surfers.

The bay works best with winter swells coming from the NorthEast, which are the most reliable. The waves here can handle sizes starting from 1 foot (approximately 0.3 meters) and break over sand. You can find both left and right waves, making it a good option for surfers of varying skills. The preferable wind direction is from the NorthWest, and the spot can be surfed at all tide heights—low, mid, and high. This makes Jinluan Bay accessible for beginners looking to catch some waves.

In addition to its surf potential, Jinluan Bay enjoys higher consistency than many other spots, with a full swell window available. Although it can get a bit rippy and blown-out at times, its range of wave options and ease of access make it a decent choice for those wanting to hit the water.
