Overview
Jodugullapullam is an exposed beachbreak that breaks over sand, with a jetty at the northern end throwing a potential left for goofy footers. Getting there is the hard part: a dirt track runs off Beach Rd, but the river snakes through and turns the approach into a long detour.
When It Works
Waves peel both left and right here, and the beach picks up swell from southwest through north to northeast (SW-N-NE), with southeast (SE) the optimal direction. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there's a wide window to play with. Consistency is moderate, so it won't be on every day, but the swell windows are worth watching.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind to clean things up. The beach can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.

This one suits beginners, and the lineup stays quiet when it's breaking.
Access
Parking is restricted, and combined with the awkward dirt-track approach, it's worth sorting out where you're leaving the car before you commit to the drive.
