Keiss is a long, left-hand reef at the north end of Sinclair's Bay, peeling over a rock ledge.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from northeast through southeast, and it favours a northeast swell above all. It takes real size to get going, needing a big northeast to east swell to break over the fingers of reef, and it works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft. Consistency can be patchy, so it pays to catch it on the right pulse.
Wind and Tide
Look for a west wind to hold it clean, which is a better call than a southwest wind that tends to blow strong around here. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better window.
Local Tips
The left suits intermediate surfers, and you can usually expect a fairly quiet lineup when it turns on.
