Overview
Kiholo Bay is a scenic reef setup with a choice of waves, tucked into pristine landscape alongside the Four Seasons resort. The peak in the middle of the bay is the obvious draw and hard to miss, while a right-hand pointbreak sits at the north end and is easy to overlook. Everything breaks over uneven reef, with the middle peak offering both lefts and rights.
When It Works
The bay draws swell from west to north (W-N), with northwest swell the best match. It's usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3 m / 10 ft and stays moderately consistent. On big west or northwest swells the two line-ups can link up for long, drawn-out rides, though the north-end point is pretty inconsistent and won't always be there.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast offshore wind. The reef can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The reef is beginner-friendly, so it's a manageable place to find your feet. Expect a moderately busy lineup across the two peaks when it's on.
