La Chaise is a fast left that breaks over reef and tends to stay quieter than the more popular spots closer to town.
When It Works
Set over an uneven reef, La Chaise draws swell from east through south, with southeast (SE) the direction it likes best. Summer southeast swells are what really light it up. The left runs fast and holds its shape reliably, breaking well from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast (NE) offshore wind, and note that the setup also picks up a little shelter from east wind. It works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave sits nicely in intermediate range, and the lineup usually stays fairly quiet.
