La Derecha de Almaciga is a fun, flexible right-hander that peels over sand and pebbles. This point break stays reliable through the year, so it's worth keeping on your list whenever you're in the area.
When It Works
The point picks up just about any swell, drawing from west through north to northeast (W-N-NE), with north swell the best match. It's usable across a broad range, working from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so there's something rideable on both small and bigger days.
Wind and Tide
A south offshore wind grooms it best. The wave breaks through all stages of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a great spot for beginners and improvers to find their feet on a forgiving right-hander. Expect the occasional crowd when it's on.

You'll find a car park with free parking as well as roadside parking, reached via the Carretera de Taganana toward Almaciga.
