La Jenny is a sand-bottomed beach break that peels both left and right along an isolated stretch of coast. The long walk in through the woods keeps the place feeling remote and away from it all.
When It Works
The bank draws swell from southwest through northwest, but a west swell is the one to wait for. On small west swells the peaks turn consistent and often hollow, and being a reliable break it holds shape from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east offshore wind to groom the peaks. It works through most of the tide, though a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
La Jenny suits intermediates best. The isolation and steady longshore currents mean it is not the easiest spot to surf solo, so a bit of experience goes a long way. Expect a fairly quiet lineup.
Access
Access is north of the naturist camp entrance, reached on foot through the woods. Parking nearby is restricted.
