La Plage Sportive is a beachbreak where reef formations hold the sand in place, keeping the peaks in good shape. It breaks both left and right.
When It Works
The stretch is super consistent and works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. It draws swell from south through west, with southwest (SW) swell the best match. Smaller days stay fun and approachable, but once the surf pushes past head-high the waves turn serious, earning this stretch the Cote Sauvage name.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast (NE) offshore wind. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly beginner wave with a lively scene on the sand, from music to beachgoers and a generally fun atmosphere.
Access
There are beach restaurants and showers right by the water.
