Laje Rasa is a cluster of outside reefbreaks that peel as slopey, cutback-friendly shoulders over uneven reef. It breaks both left and right and suits cruisy sessions, SUP, and longboarding. Getting out is part of the deal: plan for a 30-minute paddle or arrange a boat.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from northeast through east-southeast to south (NE-ESE-S), with east (E) the best match. It's usable from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency can be hit or miss, so it's worth watching for the right window rather than counting on it every session.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southwest (SW) offshore wind to clean things up. The reef can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one is best for intermediate surfers, and you can expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on. Leave plenty of time and energy for the long paddle back, and don't surf out here alone, sharks have been spotted in the area.
Access
Parking is easy to sort, with a car park offering free parking alongside paid and roadside options.
