Overview
Lalawigan Beach is a coral reef break with both lefts and rights. The fine sand stretches south, and the fringing reef holds a run of low-quality peaks all the way down to the Suribao rivermouth lefts and the beachbreak at Omawas.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from north through east, with east swell the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. Waves here can be somewhat inconsistent, but the setup gets more reliable the further south you go along the reef.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind. The reef breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The peaks suit intermediate surfers, and the lineup tends to stay quiet.
