Overview
Le Club is a consistent beach break over sand, sitting directly opposite the Anglet Surf Club. It throws up good peaks that peel both left and right, and there's often a defined, bowly right off both the short and long jetty. With the club's webcam pointed at the lineup, it pulls in plenty of attention and doubles as a contest venue when conditions line up.
When It Works
The spot draws swell from west to north (W-N), with northwest (NW) the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, giving a wide working window across small and solid days. Consistency is a real strength here, so you'll usually find something to ride. When it's on, good tubes are on offer, especially in the shorebreak at higher tides, though backwash can become a problem then.
Wind and Tide
Look for east (E) offshore wind to clean it up. It works through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Le Club suits intermediate surfers, and the power is the main thing to respect: once it hits head-high, beginners will struggle. Paddling channels can form beside the jetties to help you get out. Expect a very busy lineup when it's working, with the club opposite and the webcam drawing the crowds.
Access
You'll find restrooms, showers, a lifeguard, camping, a surf school, and a surf shop here. There's a car park with free parking plus roadside parking, though a space can be hard to come by in summer.
