Littlehampton is a fickle beachbreak just east of the harbour entrance, with peaks breaking over sand. It throws up both lefts and rights, and the lefts peeling off the wooden groyne are the pick of the bunch.
When It Works
The bank draws swell from east through south to southwest, with southwest swell the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a north offshore wind. The spot favours high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The lefts off the wooden groyne come into their own on higher tides. When it's on, expect the lineup to get busy.
