Overview
Llorente is a sandy beach break about an hour south of Borongan, with peaks that break both left and right. It's an approachable spot, though more experienced surfers can also check the nearby headlands for some reef action.
When It Works
The sand-bottomed peaks pick up plenty of swell, drawing swell from north to east (N-E) with northeast (NE) the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and stays moderately consistent, so there are decent windows when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for southwest (SW) offshore wind. The beach breaks through the tide, so low, mid, and high can all work, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The peaks suit beginners and improvers well, and the lineup tends to stay fairly quiet when it's working.
Access
There's free roadside parking nearby.
