Lucky Point is an exposed fringe of reef in the Philippines that hands out right-handers when the swell lines up. It sits out on its own, reachable only by boat, and breaks over live coral.
When It Works
The reef picks up swell from northeast through east, and east (E) swell is what really makes it line up properly. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3 m / 10 ft, and it is moderately consistent, so the good windows are there without being an everyday option.
Wind and Tide
Look for west (W) offshore wind. The reef works on mid and high tide, with a rising tide the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. The lineup stays quiet, so you will usually have plenty of room on the reef.
Access
Getting out here means renting a boat, which is part of why it stays so uncrowded.
