Overview
Mwahnd Rights is a right-hand reef break that peels over dead coral. It sits across the channel from the lefts and tends to be the more consistent of the two, still finding waves even when the tradewinds drop off.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from northwest through north to east (NW-N-E), and an east (E) swell is the best match. It's a consistent setup that works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 5.5 m / 18 ft, so it handles anything from small days right up to triple-overhead size.
Wind and Tide
Look for southwest (SW) offshore wind. The reef breaks through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. Expect a fairly quiet lineup when it's working.
