Nakayama is a long, attractive beach break that peels over sand, with three preferred peaks spread along the strand. Minato sits beside the port and holds up when the wind swings northeast, Center breaks in the middle, and Takeyano is the southern option. The banks throw both lefts and rights, so there's room to find your own peak.
When It Works
Nakayama draws swell from northeast through southeast, with southeast swell the best match. It's a consistent beach break that works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, so there's usually something to ride across a wide band of sizes.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northwest offshore wind to clean up the faces. It can break across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide the better call.
Local Tips
This is a solid all-abilities venue and an easy place for beginners to find their feet. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on, though walking down the beach from the access points usually opens up space.

Restrooms and showers are on hand. Parking is straightforward, with a car park offering free and paid spaces plus roadside parking.
