Overview
Napalms is a left-hand reef break and a genuine barrel machine, tucked further into the bay from One Palm. It's a little easier to master than its bigger brother, easing you into a fast wall before the wave sucks hard over sharp coral heads on the inside. The reef itself is live coral, so the shallow sections deserve respect.
When It Works
Napalms draws swell from south through west, with southwest swell the best match. It's usable from 1.2 m / 4 ft to 3 m / 10 ft. This is a consistent wave that breaks reliably rather than needing a rare swell to switch on.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast offshore wind to hold the face clean, with the bay and its little headland helping to keep things tidy. Southeast winds are the ones to avoid, throwing a cross-shore chop across the lineup. It works through low, mid, and high tide, but a rising tide is the better call, and low tide gets risky over the shallow coral.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-level wave, and the fast wall into a sucking inside section will keep you honest. Expect a busy lineup when it's on, with boats regularly parked out here. If you want an alternative, there's an adjacent short left further in towards Inside.
