Nishinoura is a surf spot located on the west side of Fukuoka, along the headland that juts into the Genkai Sea. It's known for its rocky shoreline and offers some decent waves when the conditions are right. This place isn’t for beginners, so make sure you have some experience before paddling out.

The surf here tends to favor a northeast to north swell and can handle sizes around 2ft (0.6m) and up. When it’s on, you can expect long, peeling lefts that break over an uneven reef. The best wind direction is southeast, and this spot works at all tide heights, whether it’s low, mid, or high. The waves can be fun for intermediate surfers looking for a challenge, but don’t underestimate the rocky bottom.
