Overview
Northeast Walkers is a shallow reef pass lefthander that breaks left over live coral. It's not far from Frenzies, so keep an eye out for fins while you're out there.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from the northwest through northeast, with north the best direction and generally the easiest to surf here. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft and is moderately consistent, so you'll find worthwhile windows when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south offshore wind to clean it up, though south winds can be less forgiving than a straightforward north swell. It breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave suits intermediate surfers, and the lineup stays quiet when it's on.
Access
Northeast Walkers is reachable by boat only, and it tends to get surfed by surf boats passing through. Parking is restricted.
