Oostduinkerke is a surf spot located south of the long jetty at Nieuwpoort, known for its beachbreaks that stretch down towards Dunkirk. This area offers decent waves but can be a bit disorganized at times. The beautiful sandy beach makes it a welcoming spot for surfers of different levels.

When it comes to the waves, Oostduinkerke works best with swells coming from the North, while swells from the Northwest and Northeast also deliver fun conditions. The spot handles swell sizes starting from 1ft (about 0.3 meters), making it suitable for beginners. The waves mainly break over sand and can offer both left and right rides. For the best experience, the ideal wind direction is Southeast, particularly during mid to high tide.

For local surfers, the new beachhouse ‘Windekind’ is a great hangout, providing a space to relax between sessions and enjoy some community vibes. The facility also offers hot showers for members, making it a convenient spot to tidy up after a day in the water.
