Overview
Pantai Marosi is a big, shifty, deepwater right that breaks over an uneven reef. It carries real power and can hold you down for a while when the swell turns chunky. The bay is scenic but sensitive to wind, and alongside the main right there are a few other peaks and an outside left. When the swell drops small, the bay serves up a fun, hazard-free beachbreak instead.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from southwest through west (SW-W), with southwest (SW) the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 3.7 m / 12 ft, and the bigger, chunkier southwest swells are where the wave shows its power and long hold-downs.
Wind and Tide
Look for northeast (NE) offshore wind, which matters here since the bay is sensitive to wind. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
