Overview
Paradise is a sectiony left reef that peels off a rocky point tucked into a bay, a few kilometres south of Swakopmund. It breaks over uneven reef, so the wave carries a bit of character as it winds down the point.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from south through west, with southwest (SW) the direction that lines it up best. It is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is moderate, so it is worth keeping an eye on rather than counting on day to day.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east (E) offshore wind to clean things up. The spot can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers, and the lineup tends to stay fairly quiet when it is on.
