Playa de Pared is an off-the-tourist-track beach break, with average left and right peaks breaking over sand.
When It Works
The beach has good exposure to northwest (NW) swell, which is the direction to hope for, though it will pick up anything from south to north (S-N). It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Aim for an early session, as the peaks are at their cleanest in the morning before the north wind moves in and takes them apart.
Wind and Tide
The offshore direction here is southeast (SE), while north winds are the ones that wreck it, so dawn patrol tends to pay off. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly beach for beginners, but the rips run strong and there are scattered rocks to steer around, so keep track of where you're drifting.
Access
Stairs lead down to the sand by the info sign, and there's free roadside parking nearby.
