Overview
Pont Blondin is a right-hand pointbreak on the Moroccan coast, where the bridge crossing the Oued Nefifikh takes its name from a soldier who fought here during the Second World War. Waves break over a mix of uneven reef and sand. There are two setups worth knowing: the main point, and the Oubaha reef, a solid righthander alongside it.
When It Works
The point draws swell from west to north (W-N) and is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. The main point needs a large swell to really switch on, while the Oubaha reef holds up more readily.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northeast (NE) offshore to clean it up. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide usually the better call. The main point is the exception, wanting low water when the swell is big, whereas the Oubaha reef works across all tides.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-friendly right-hander. Expect a sometimes-busy lineup when it's on. Watch for rips, and be aware that river runoff can carry pollution into the water.
