Overview
Praia do Morro is the town beach of Guarapari, a sand-bottom beachbreak that curves along a wall of high-rise apartments. It peels both left and right and pulls in a steady mix of tourists and surfers. The northern end tends to be bigger, up towards the marlin statue on the little reef.
When It Works
This is a consistent beachbreak that picks up swell from east to south (E-S), with southeast (SE) the best match. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. The dependable windows come from winter south swells or summer east-southeast windchop.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind. It can break through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow beachbreak makes it an easy option for beginners. Expect a busy lineup when it's working, especially once the town fills with holidaymakers.
Access
There's plenty of support on hand, with restrooms, showers, a lifeguard, a surf school, and a surf shop close by. For parking, you'll find a car park with free spaces alongside paid and roadside options.
