Overview
Punta del Tigre is a cluster of reefs at the southern tip that breaks both left and right over uneven reef. The standout right can peel for over 300 m, and there's a left plus another long right nearby. Directly in front of the lighthouse, a shallow reef serves up fast, hollow peelers for bodyboarders when a northwest swell lines up with north winds.
When It Works
Don't expect it to break every day — these reefs are very inconsistent and come to life in northwest swells. The spot draws swell from west to north (W-N), with northwest (NW) the best match, and it works from 1.5 m / 5 ft to 4.6 m / 15 ft.
Wind and Tide
The west-facing reefs need a southeast (SE) wind to be offshore and clean. Surf it around mid to high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is expert territory: experienced reef surfers only, and only if you don't mind urchins and rips.

Reaching the reefs means a long trip down the dirt track that starts at Morro Jable.
