Overview
Ribadesella is a sand-bottomed beachbreak that peels both left and right, right next to the town it shares its name with. Wave quality is average, and there's a slight bit of residential pollution to keep in mind.
When It Works
The bank draws swell from the west through to the north, with northwest (NW) swell the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft and stays moderately consistent when the size lands in that window.
Wind and Tide
Look for south (S) offshore wind. It works on most tides except high, breaking best across low and mid, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. The lineup can fill in and get busy on weekends.
Access
You'll find restrooms, showers, and a lifeguard on the beach, plus shops and bars close by. Free parking is easy to come by outside the peak summer weeks.
