Sama Sama's is a surf spot located near Ternate, and it’s known for being the closest reliable wave to the area. This spot generally handles swell sizes from about 2 feet (0.6 meters) and works best with north swell directions and can be good with northwest and northeast swells too. When it’s on, the waves break over live coral and offer rights that can peel for about two or three turns before closing out in the channel section. It's best to ride this break during low, mid, or high tide, but keep in mind that the conditions can change quickly with the tide. Just make sure you're at least at an intermediate level to navigate the reef safely.
