Overview
Texel de Koog is a sand-bottomed beach break that offers both lefts and rights.
When It Works
The spot picks up swell from south-southwest through north (SSW-N), and southwest swell is the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.5 m / 5 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast offshore wind, with a workable wind window stretching from northeast through east-southeast to south. It breaks around mid and high tide, and both rising and falling water can work, though high tide is the pick.
Local Tips
It's a friendly spot for beginners and intermediates.
